Precision Coaching
One coach. Every rep considered.
Personal Training at Urban Pulse is not a luxury add-on — it is the most focused way to train. A dedicated coach designs your program, watches every movement, adjusts every detail, and ensures every session moves you closer to your goals.
Who personal training is for
Beginners wanting confidence
If you have never trained with weights or are returning after a long break, personal training removes every source of uncertainty. Your coach teaches each movement at your pace, with your body, in private.
Professionals with time constraints
When your calendar is unpredictable, personal training adapts. Sessions are scheduled around you, last 45–60 minutes, and eliminate all wasted time. Every minute counts.
People returning after a break
Coming back to training after months or years away requires careful programming. Your coach starts where your body is today — not where it was before — and rebuilds strength safely and progressively.
Experienced trainees needing progression
If you have been training for years but progress has stalled, a coach provides structured periodisation, technique refinement, and objective assessment that self-guided training cannot match.
The process
How personal training works
Introductory Conversation
Before any physical work, your coach listens. We discuss your goals, training history, health considerations, schedule, preferences, and any concerns. This conversation shapes everything that follows.
Movement Assessment
If appropriate, a movement assessment helps your coach understand how your body moves today — range of motion, stability, coordination, and movement confidence. This is not a test. There is no pass or fail.
Plan Design
Your coach creates a structured program based on your assessment and goals. Exercise selection, load, volume, tempo, and recovery are all personalised. The plan evolves as you do.
Coached Sessions
Every session is supervised. Your coach watches your movement, corrects your technique, adjusts your load, and ensures you are working at the right intensity. You are never guessing.
Progress Reviews
Regular reviews measure strength, mobility, consistency, and energy. Your coach adjusts your program based on objective data — not assumptions. You always know where you stand.
What personalisation actually means
Personalisation is more than writing your name on a clipboard. At Urban Pulse, it means your coach considers and adjusts every variable that affects your training:
Exercise Selection
Movements chosen for your body, goals, and current ability — not from a template.
Load & Volume
Weight, sets, and repetitions calibrated to your strength today, adjusted session by session.
Tempo & Technique
How fast you move, where you pause, and how your coach corrects form in real time.
Scheduling
Sessions booked around your calendar, with flexibility for travel and life changes.
Recovery Guidance
Recommendations for rest, sleep, mobility, and between-session activity based on your training load.
Communication
Your coach respects your boundaries — available for questions, never intrusive.
What a session looks like
A typical personal training session at Urban Pulse follows a clear structure. This is not a random workout — it is a purposeful training session with a beginning, middle, and end.
Arrival & Preparation
Check in with your coach. Brief conversation about how you feel, any issues since last session, and today's focus.
Warm-Up
Targeted preparation for the day's movements — mobility, activation, and movement rehearsal.
Primary Training Block
The core of the session. Compound strength movements with focused coaching, appropriate intensity, and controlled rest.
Supporting Work
Accessory exercises, targeted muscle work, or capacity training based on your program phase.
Cool-Down & Notes
Light movement, breathing, and a brief debrief. Your coach logs the session and previews what comes next.
Membership & pricing
Personal Training memberships are available in multiple session-frequency formats. Because pricing depends on your format, frequency, and commitment period, we encourage you to enquire directly rather than working from published figures that may not reflect your situation.
Safety & scope
Your safety is our non-negotiable priority. Every personal training engagement begins with a health readiness conversation. If you have injuries, medical conditions, or specific health considerations, we will discuss appropriate modifications and, where necessary, recommend you seek clearance from a healthcare professional before beginning.
Our coaches are qualified strength and conditioning professionals, not medical practitioners. We do not diagnose injuries, prescribe rehabilitation protocols, or provide nutritional plans that require clinical expertise. When a referral is appropriate, we will say so clearly.
Information on this page is for general guidance. Individual results vary. Consult a healthcare professional before starting any training program.
Personal Training FAQs
How often should I train with a personal trainer?
Most members train 2–4 times per week. Your coach will recommend a frequency based on your goals, recovery capacity, and schedule. Consistency matters more than volume.
Can I train with a friend or partner?
Yes. Semi-private sessions with two people are available and can be a cost-effective way to access personal coaching. Both participants should have compatible goals and experience levels.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
We understand that professional schedules change. Please contact us for our current cancellation and rescheduling policy.
Will I work with the same coach every time?
Whenever possible, yes. Continuity of coaching is important for progress. If your regular coach is unavailable, a qualified colleague will follow your established program.
How is progress tracked?
Through training logs, regular movement reviews, and structured progress assessments. Your coach maintains detailed records so you can see measurable improvements over time.
